Nectar CBD Drink

The Premise

I stumbled on to Nectar CBD Drink at a recent CBD Expo back in April and held on to this beverage intentionally until it was warranted.

After finishing third 🥉in a recent BJJ competition my muscle aches were definitely aching throughout. I deferred from Advil and other pain relievers and instead capitalized on the opportunity to try this stuff out.

Let’s take a look!

The Product

Nectar CBD Drink is proudly packed in a sturdy glass bottle at 250 mL (8.5 fl. oz). Nutrition facts account for 1 serving at 60 calories, 70mg of sodium (3% daily value), 15 grams of total carbs (5% daily value) and 12 grams of added sugar (24% daily value). Flavored with Aloe, Lemon, Turmeric and Ginger this drink contains 10mg of nano-CBD.

The labeling anchors itself on CBD’s benefits on regulating stress, sleep, apetite (I think they meant appetite) and pain management. None of the statements made were not evaluated by the FDA.

Pretty basic so far. Let’s begin.

The Review

Do not let this appealing drink fool you. One would assume that such a bottle would have the flavor profile of a Snapple but that’s simply not the case.

At first pass, this drink hit me in the mouth. I had to do a double-take on the labeling and scan the ingredients over again.

✅Turmeric
✅Ginger

Okay, those flavor profiles can be daunting in their own right but that wasn’t it.

Leafing through the ingredient list I kept asking, What on Earth kicked me in the mouth?

And then…

🧐Black Pepper

Yes, in some way shape or form black pepper is the third to last ingredient in this formula.

If you can pass that initial smack, you’re good to go.

It took several sips to ensure I got to the bottom but for the most part this drink was emptied in minutes.

As far as its efficacy, I would gladly say it worked for me. Within the hour most of my muscle pains were subdued and frankly that’s where it counts.

If you’re good with an obscure flavor profile, I’d give them a ring.
